persolog® Self-Leadership Model
Achieving personal goals is not just about knowing what you want to accomplish. Motivation, willpower, your own behavior and how you manage your personal energy also play a role. The persolog® Self-Leadership Model helps you look at your self-leadership from different perspectives and develop it further.
What is self-leadership?
Self-leadership describes the ability to influence your own thoughts, feelings and actions in order to consciously pursue personal goals. It is about taking responsibility for your own behavior and being able to guide yourself even when you encounter obstacles or challenges.
Self-leadership is not a fixed trait. Self-leadership competence can be developed and trained. This includes looking at your own goals, personal motivation, behavior and available resources.
What is the persolog® Self-Leadership Model?
The persolog® Self-Leadership Model was developed in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Günter F. Müller from the University of Koblenz-Landau and is based on concepts from social, work, business and organizational psychology.
The model looks at self-leadership through four dimensions and seven corresponding strategies. These cover different areas that play a role in developing self-leadership competence.
The 4 dimensions and 7 strategies of self-leadership
The four dimensions Thinking, Feeling, Acting and Energy comprise a total of seven self-leadership strategies.
1. Thinking
The Thinking dimension focuses on the goals people set for themselves and how they use their willpower to pursue them. It is about consciously focusing on goals and continuing to work towards them.
The two strategies within the Thinking dimension are Setting Goals and Activating Willpower.
2. Feeling
The Feeling dimension focuses on motivation and how people deal with their emotions. It is about understanding your own motivation and regulating emotions in a way that supports your actions.
The two strategies within the Feeling dimension are Managing Motivation and Regulating Emotions.
3. Acting
The Acting dimension looks at your own behavior and the conditions in which that behavior takes place. In addition to adapting your own behavior, consciously shaping your environment also plays a role.
The two strategies within the Acting dimension are Shaping Your Environment and Adapting Your Behavior.
4. Energy
The Energy dimension focuses on the physical conditions that support self-leadership. The focus is on managing your own energy consciously and considering how your personal performance can be supported.
The strategy within the Energy dimension is Managing Energy.

Trening o samovođenju bio mi je vrlo zanimljiv jer se fokusirao upravo na moja osobna područja razvoja. Njegova interaktivnost i izazovi učinili su ga vrlo razumljivim i zabavnim. Definitivno sam mogao dodatno razviti svoje vještine samovođenja i sada znam čemu mogu posvetiti više pažnje u svom svakodnevnom radu u budućnosti.

"I participated in the online certification Self Leadership Model and can only recommend it to everyone. All content was presented very clearly and I found my way around very well. Comments and remarks are responded to: Therefore, I never had the feeling that I was "alone" or that I could not ask questions. Quite the opposite. In terms of content, I received numerous examples and methods that are good to implement 1:1. (Of course, I can still supplement or exchange them independently, depending on what I personally want to offer). The seminar concept is super!!! I am very grateful for this, because I just do not have to do anything more 🙂 The trainers are super fun...I love their humor. The perfect blend of professionalism & fun. You can feel how much they love their work and their short personal stories make them approachable and authentic. Thank you so much!!!"

Frequently asked questions about the persolog® Self-Leadership Model
What is the difference between self-leadership and self-management?
Self-leadership focuses on how people influence their thoughts, feelings and actions in order to pursue personal goals. Self-management is often more closely associated with organizing your own actions and available resources. The persolog® Self-Leadership Model therefore considers thinking, emotions and energy in addition to behavior.
Why is self-leadership important for leaders?
Self-leadership supports leaders in consciously reflecting on their own actions, personal goals and how they deal with challenges. Motivation and the way they manage their own resources also play a role. Developing self-leadership competence can therefore be part of leadership development.
How can self-leadership help in everyday work?
Self-leadership can help you align your behavior more consciously in everyday work and continue pursuing personal or professional goals even when challenges arise. Which areas are particularly relevant depends on the situation and the individual challenges involved.
What role does personal responsibility play in self-leadership?
Personal responsibility means taking responsibility for your own actions and consciously using the areas you can influence. It is relevant to self-leadership because personal goals need to be pursued through your own actions rather than simply defined. This involves being aware of your own role and the actions available to you.
What can make self-leadership difficult?
Self-leadership can become more difficult when goals are unclear or motivation and willpower are lacking. Your own behavior, emotions, personal environment and available energy can also influence how well you are able to stay committed to a goal. The persolog® Self-Leadership Model considers these different areas within its four dimensions.
