What Is KOMPASS?
KOMPASS (“Competence Through Professional Development”) is a nationwide funding program run by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) and the European Social Fund Plus (ESF Plus).
It supports self-employed individuals who want to actively shape their professional future with grants covering up to 90% of costs – up to a maximum of €4,500 per person.
The program is designed to be straightforward: after an initial consultation at a KOMPASS contact point, an individual development plan is created recommending suitable professional development opportunities.
