Jana is a product developer and master trainer at persolog. Her enthusiasm for personal development and growth is contagious to the participants of her trainings. Jana is co-responsible for the latest training program at persolog: the certification as a persolog® Team Development Expert. We spoke with her about it.

What is special about the Team Development Expert masterclass?

The special thing about the masterclass is that within six months, you gain comprehensive knowledge about the topic of teams. We use different formats for this: On one hand, there’s asynchronous learning through the video course, where you can manage your time and complete the exercises at your own pace. On the other hand, there are live sessions where you receive additional information, can ask questions, and engage in discussions. 

Additionally, there’s a buddy program, meaning you learn together with someone else who supports you. And the absolute highlight of the program: the case study sessions. We decided that we want participants to start implementing right away, so we included three such case study or training practice sessions within the six months. In these sessions, we feature various experts like Debora (Editor’s note: Debora Karsch, long-time master trainer and CEO of persolog) or Dirk (Editor’s note: Prof. Dr. Dirk Wolff, expert in team resilience and persolog master trainer). They provide practical examples, realistic exercises, or use cases for your own trainings and seminars.

What are you most looking forward to in this masterclass?

That’s a difficult question. I’m excited about everything. About amazing people like Dirk and Debora. But my absolute highlights will be the live sessions and our in-person days in Remchingen. Simply because you can actually put into practice the methods you learned and discussed online beforehand. I’m sure this will provide immense value and be a lot of fun.

Who should participate?

Primarily, trainers who focus on team-related topics. Both those who are just starting out in team training and those who already have experience but want to elevate their knowledge to the next level will benefit from the various topics covered in the training. It’s not just about the basics; we also cover topics such as handling conflicts, enhancing team performance, and giving feedback.
But also, leaders, CEOs, HR professionals, and anyone who works with teams in their professional life will gain knowledge and methods through the training that they can use with their teams and within their organizations to advance in team dynamics.
Coaches can participate to learn everything about teams and use their newly acquired practical knowledge to coach those who work in and with teams daily.
We all work in teams to some extent, so it’s definitely worth investing in this topic.

What will I gain from participating?

First and foremost, comprehensive knowledge on the subject. But also, the ability to try out methods and exercises directly. By getting to know the other participants, you’ll expand your network. Additionally, we do everything we can to ensure that you can start implementing right away. A nice add-on at the end: you’ll receive a certificate that you’re a Team Development Expert, and it also includes certification in team resilience. So, upon completion, you’ll receive two certificates.
The goal is that after six months, you’ll have everything in your toolkit to start implementing right away. In one word: practicality.
